However, from Java, Indonesian Ocean Freight companies offers the FCL solution only. Still, if you decide to send your full container from Semarang, Jepara, Jogyakarta, or Banyuwangi, Ocean Freight companies cargo will organize your trucking, export documents, and container load on the vessel.
FCL (FULL CONTAINER), OR LCL (LESS THAN A CONTAINER)?
Volume matters.
The choice between a Full Container Load (FCL) or a Less than a Container Load (LCL) is always yours. But this decision should be based on the volume of goods that you want to ship. It is usually considered that 15 cubic meters of goods packed is the pivot point to switch from an LCL shipment to a full container.
Anyhow, a lot of different reasons might lead you to choose for an FCL despite the fact that your total volume is below 15 cubic meters. Such as having a very large object to ship or an especially fragile one. Don’t worry, if you are not sure about this, contact us for some advice and shipping quotation.

A shipping container is a container with strength suitable to withstand shipment, storage, and handling. It ranges from large reusable steel boxes used for intermodal shipments to the ubiquitous corrugated boxes. In the context of international shipping trade, “container” or “shipping container” is virtually synonymous with “intermodal freight container,” a container designed to be moved from one mode of transport to another without unloading and reloading (see the full article here) .

We remind you that “ULIN” wood (ironwood) is subject to special regulations, “SONO” (rosewood / rosewood) and raw lianas are prohibited for export. Please contact us before purchasing any.
